Cynthia Holloway's final official day as a Hillsborough County Circuit Judge was marked with tears and the issuing of some fairly lenient sentences.

On Tuesday, Holloway gave a two-year prison sentence to teenager Marcus Young, who faced 25 years to life for a drug robbery and nonfatal shooting of two men.

Holloway also sentenced Floyd Lewison, who robbed a porn shop with a BB gun, to six years probation. Lewison faced life in prison.

Holloway, 46, is resigning after a state judicial ethics panel recommended she be suspended for 30 days for inappropriate actions in a custody case involving one of her friends.

Her resignation becomes official Jan. 10, but she has said the decision to retire was unrelated to the ethics investigation. Holloway, who said her personal wealth is $15 million, said she wants to spend more time with her family and no longer needs to work.

She declined comment after her final court session ended Tuesday/

Holloway lied under oath as a witness in the custody case, interfered with the judge hearing the case, and tried to influence a detective who was investigating the facts of the case, the ethics investigation showed.

Holloway has denied lying in the case. She was testifying on behalf of the sister of her best friend.
